Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. She was born 13 December 1989 in Pennsylvania's West Reading. Swift is a pop/country singer-songwriter for more than 20 years. The stories she tells of her romantic love in the midst of heartbreak and young love has earned her the acclaim of many in the 21st Century. Swift began to show an desire to work in the industry in the early years of her life. Her career progressed rapidly starting with children's roles through her first public appearance in front of a large crowd. Swift was 11 years old when she sang The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. After that Swift began to write songs and began playing guitar. Swift took inspiration from artists who played country music, like Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks as well as the Chicks to develop original material which reflected the alienation she felt when she was 13. Swift moved from Pennsylvania together with her parents, into Hendersonville, Tennessee after she was 13 years old to dedicate more time to the wooing of artists from the genre of country music in Nashville.
